MIEE – Session 1 – Teams as an Educational Hub & OneNote Class Notebook

Microsoft Teams and OneNote Class Notebook work together as a powerful educational hub for schools. Teams can be used to create the correct type of Team for different roles and functions across a school, trust, or governing body, enabling clear communication through posts for announcements and file sharing. Files can be organised collaboratively within Teams, while staff collaboration is strengthened through meetings, chat, and live events. Teams also allows the integration of third-party apps and provides a range of assessment tools through Assignments and Grades. Alongside this, OneNote Class Notebook supports both face-to-face and distance learning by enabling teachers to create and share learning resources and develop digital notebooks that align with academic standards and educational outcomes across subjects and roles. Students can use OneNote across all year groups to compile, organise, and structure information, research, and content, while also supporting collaboration, communication, note-taking, reflective writing, and journaling. Users can learn to create, add, and share pages and content to improve organisation and quickly find information, as well as embed media and use digital ink features within the OneNote app.
