A new chapter for turn IT on: Introducing TLG TurnITon

On 28th October, turn IT on will become TLG TurnITon, marking the next chapter for our business and reflecting our place within Transforming Learning Group.

For more than 20 years, we have worked alongside schools and Multi-Academy Trusts, helping them make technology work effectively for their staff, pupils and wider school communities. During that time, our business has grown, our expertise has developed and the role technology plays across education has changed significantly.

Our new identity reflects that progress while keeping the TurnITon name and heritage that our customers know.

Why are we making this change?

TurnITon has been part of TLG for some time, but this relationship has not always been immediately clear from the way our business is presented.

Moving to TLG TurnITon creates a clearer connection between who we are, the group we are part of and the direction we are taking as a technology partner for education.

It also reflects how our work with schools continues to develop. Technology now touches almost every part of school life, from classroom teaching and staff productivity to connectivity, cyber security, safeguarding and long-term digital strategy. Our role is increasingly about helping schools make confident decisions about technology and ensuring it delivers meaningful value across their organisation.

Bringing our identity under TLG gives us a stronger foundation for that work while allowing us to retain the specialist education technology expertise that has shaped TurnITon for more than two decades.

What does this mean for our customers?

For our existing customers, the most important thing to know is that the people, relationships and services you rely on are continuing.

You will continue to work with the teams who know your school or Trust, supported by the same education-focused expertise and commitment to service.

Our work will continue to cover managed IT support, connectivity and safeguarding, cyber security, technology projects, and digital transformation and training.

You will begin to see the new TLG TurnITon name and visual identity across our website, emails, social media and customer communications from 28th October. Some email addresses and digital touchpoints will also move across to the TLG identity, and we will make any practical changes clear where they affect you.

There is no action customers need to take simply because our brand is changing.

Building on more than 20 years in education

While our name is evolving, the experience behind it remains an important part of who we are.

Our knowledge has been built through years of working directly in schools, understanding the pressures education teams face and seeing first-hand where technology can make a genuine difference.

We want to build on that experience as TLG TurnITon.

That means continuing to provide dependable day-to-day technology support while also helping schools think further ahead: strengthening cyber resilience, improving infrastructure and connectivity, making better use of cloud technology and supporting staff to develop the confidence and skills needed as technology continues to evolve.

For me, this change is about making sure our identity reflects the business we are today and the partner we want to continue being for schools in the future.

I am incredibly grateful to our customers for the trust they place in our teams, and to our colleagues whose expertise and commitment have built the reputation TurnITon has today.

We look forward to continuing that work with you as TLG TurnITon from 28th October.
