World Book Day 2017

20-logo-Left-DownToday is World Book Day 2017. This is the 20th World Book Day and children and teachers across the country are dressing up as their favourite book characters, including members of our curriculum team, at a school this morning Martin Long was a Wizard and teaching within our Bucks team Vicki Price is dressed as Little Red Riding Hood! Many of our office staff sent their children to school in Fancy Dress today with costumes including, Tom from David Walliams, the Midnight Gang and Roald Dahl’s Matilda.

Do_Something_Booky_TodayOne of the resources some of our teachers will be using is the Creative Book Builder. This app, available to download from iTunes or Google Play, allows students to create their own eBooks on Apple or Android devices then export and share their stories. When our teachers have used the app in classes they have always had a great response from the class. The app can be used all year round and within any subject but as today is World Book Day some of our teachers will be integrating this into their classes.

Do you have a favourite resource to use on World Book Day? We would love to hear about it, tweet us @TurnITonSupport
