Do you know it’s Safer Internet Day on 9th February?
This years theme is “Play your part for a better internet” so across Turn IT On schools we will be looking at ways we can ensure a better internet.
Is your school registered as a supporter? It is very easy to register as a supporter of Safer Internet Day – just click here and complete the Supporter Registration and let them know what you are planning to do to play your part!
On the Safer Internet Day website there are educational resources available to download and give inspiration on how to play your part for a better internet. There are Primary and Secondary resource packs as well as Parent and Carer resources to make it as easy as possible to run a parent and carer session at your school!
Safer Internet Day have put together a number of short films to start conversations and encourage discussions about very important issues faced on-line. SIDTV short films can be watched on YouTube or downloaded here!
We will keep you updated with everything we have planned for Safer Internet Day and would love to hear what your school will be doing – Tweet us @TurnITOnSupport and don’t forget the hashtag #SID2016
